Crab apples have always delighted me in their miniature perfection. As soon as they arrive in the local grocery store, I bring a sack home for holiday display in December. These were dumped unceremoniously out of a bag onto my still life table, lit with my spotlight, and painted before the heat of the lamp changed the colors too much.
