A brass container full of oranges is offset by a metal turquoise vase. I'm always delighted to find reflections in the shiny props. Even the dark turquoise vase caught a small reflection of a slice of the orange. For a little extra jolt of color, I added in the hot red-orange ribbon. The leaves, subtle and not too obvious, are for balance. Then I positioned my light so that it cut across the top orange in the brass container, then illuminated the sliced oranges on their edges. I like the way the curling ribbon pops against the vase - complementary colors can be so eye-catching.
Contemporary frame with approximately 3" wide edges. This gold flat frame has slight red undertones similar to a "gold leafing" look.
