"Lime With Photinia Leaves" is an oil painting on a 12" x 12" canvas. A small ceramic pitcher with a characteristic crack in it sits alongside a solitary, vibrant green lime. The red-tipped photinia shrub is one of my favorites in the Hill Country. When the sun catches the red leaves, they appear to be on fire. To further this illusion, I've chosen a *hot* orange tablecloth for this still life. On it, the autumnal photinia leaves with their red shadows complement the lime and the pale green background.
